| The Center for Leadership in Education and Academic Development (C-LEAD) is the major vehicle that supports the work of the AT Davis Foundation. Designed to provide Professional and Staff Development (PSD) for Educators and School Leaders, C-LEAD was created to serve teachers, administrators, and other school personnel in order to enhance the learning of children in the US and abroad. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA., and with Offices in Illinois and Georgia, C-LEAD is approved to offer Professional and Staff Development courses, institutes, seminars, workshops, and other learning opportunities in Illinois, by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and in Georgia, by the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE).

At C-LEAD, our mission is to provide a dynamic learning environment, where all school personnel will:
1) be challenged and challenge themselves to engage in scholarly activities structured to stimulate intellectual curiosity,
2) create critical and strategic thinking and thinkers,
3) foster an attitude of inquiry and dialogue,
4) examine issues from all perspectives,
5) foster ideas and innovation,
6) make time for reflection, inspiration, and professional networking, and
7) develop renewed enthusiasm for learning through teaching, mentoring, and providing service to our school children.

Our consultants use years of professional learning experiences, the most current theories and research, and "best practices" approach to develop program modules that challenge the learner to challenge themselves. Our programs and courses are facilitated by some of the leading young educators in the US and the world. Each course includes interactive activities and challenges based on the National Standards as established by the National Staff Development Council (NSDC). Core curriculum content standards and other content and skill areas and levels are all covered. We develop our programs with guidance and recommendations from teachers, administrators, and other school leaders.
